The Shot-on the Hook rig is an underline fitted with an extra weight on the hook. This causes the hook point to drop down much faster and more aggressively, making the hook pierce faster and better. The Shot-on the Hook Rig is a great way to catch more fish, especially on waters where the carp are already familiar with the tricks of the trade.
This extra weight on the tip also allows a totally different pop-up presentation. The hook position here can be much sharper due to the Shot-on the hook bead. This Rig is knotted with Jelly Wire 25lb and features the excellent Anti Eject hook with mounted Long Shank Aligner. A Shot-on-the-hook bead is mounted on the hook bend. Of course, this underline is also fitted with a Speed Swivel 8 in combination with the Anti Tangle Sleeve. This rig is a godsend for dressage waters!
